well hello!

Come in and relax, enjoy and come back

A warm welcome is one of the first things you’ll receive when you visit the Sebright Arms. We live by our mission statement by wanting you to ‘come in, relax, enjoy and come back’. As we approach our first anniversary here, we’ve made a lot of changes during that time and hope that as a regular or a new visitor to the pub you will like what we have achieved. We are now open daily from 11am for coffee and homemade cakes and pastries, or enjoy our cask ales, perhaps a new seasonal variety that we offer and change each month, or stop by to relax and enjoy a glass of wine chosen from our new wine list.

We now offer delicious homemade food lovingly cooked by Lucia and served from 12 noon, Tuesday to Sunday. Food is available all day until 8pm (Tuesday to Thursday), until 9pm on Friday and Saturday and 5pm on Sunday. Our great new menu includes some good old pub favourites such as Fish & Chips or our delicious Steak & Ale Pie. On Thursdays we welcome the over 65s for lunch from 12noon until 4pm with our Fish & Chip and a cup of Tea offer for just £4.99.

Our large Beer Garden has plenty of room for everyone with an integrated children's play area and when the weather permits, the bouncy castle is always a favourite and keeps the children amused while you sit back and relax.

We now offer BT Sport on the big screen for watching all the big games and sporting events and our £10 Curry and a Drink offer is just the thing when the big matches are on. We also offer free Wi-Fi for staying connected during a working lunch or for a casual spot of web browsing while relaxing with a drink.

At the Sebright Arms, we aim to offer a place for the community to relax, meet and engage with each other. The pub also plays host to private parties and corporate events and is available for private gatherings to 'party' after christenings, communions or even for small wedding receptions. Ideal for birthday parties and more – during the week we provide catering for local business and community group lunches so why not enquire about what we can offer in creating an event for you.

Our chosen charity for the year is the Open Door Appeal – a fantastic community project aiming to create a community centre for the older members of the Barnet community. Look out for our fundraising events and prize draw raffles throughout the year.

Dare we say it, but Christmas is almost upon us and in November we’ll be getting all festive as we launch our Christmas Menu. But if you’re looking for a venue for your forthcoming Christmas Party, be it for your 'company bash’ or a family gathering, please get in touch for our menu and details of what we can offer.

our beers

One of the delights of British ale is the intriguing variety of tastes on offer.

The choice of malt and hops and the way the brewer works with his ingredients all influence the strength, colour and, above all, taste of your ale.

The subtleties from nose to finish can be described by aficionados, but are best discovered for yourself.

McMullen cask ale

McMullen Cask Ale

abv 3.8%

Our latest cask ale is inspired from nearly two centuries of brewing at The Whole Hop Brewery. Styrian Goldings added to English Fuggle hops achieve a refreshingly well-balanced combination.

The subtle biscuity flavour comes from pale ale and amber malts. Mixed with the citrus flavours of these hops, this creates a light and refreshing ale that all generations of ale drinkers will enjoy.

McMullen AK

McMullen AK

abv 3.7%

As one of the longest established ales in the UK, the quality of AK comes from McMullen’s 180 years of brewing experience.

This award-winning bitter uses a carefully balanced mixture of pale ale and chocolate malts to give a soft malty taste, while WGV hops give a light fragrant aroma and clean finish. A popular and refreshing easy-drinking bitter.

McMullen Country

McMullen Country

abv 4.3%

The recipe for Country’s distinct fruity taste is a testament to this when we carefully mix the Progress, Brambling Cross and English Fuggle hops.

The addition of crystal malt to the pale ale malt creates a light colour and adds a nutty taste. Best bitter drinkers will really enjoy this beautifully balanced complex ale.

McMullen Hertford Castle

McMullen Hertford Castle

abv 4.3%

Another fine brew from The Whole Hop Brewery, combining natural whole leaf arome hops, best Suffolk malted barley and McMullen’s own pure spring water.

Late hopping adds a subtlety to the traditional recipe, creating a truly distinctive taste for the ale connoisseur.
